Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. It is BuildUp Addis Digital Technologies’s policy to respect your privacy and comply with applicable law regarding personal information we may collect about you through our website, forms, email, phone, messaging channels, and client projects.
Personal information is information that can identify you — for example your name, email address, phone number, company details, or how you use our website.
If our Site links to third-party sites or tools, those services have their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not cover your activity after you leave our Site.

1. Information we collect
Information we collect falls into two categories: voluntarily provided information and automatically collected information.
Voluntarily provided information is what you knowingly share when contacting us, requesting a proposal, paying an invoice, or collaborating on a project.
Automatically collected information is sent by your device or browser while you access the Site (such as log and device data described below).
2. Log data
When you visit our website, our servers or hosting providers may automatically log standard data from your browser. This may include IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, date and time, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP.
If technical errors occur, we may collect diagnostic details about the error to fix Site issues. That information may not identify you on its own, but could be combined with other data in some cases.
3. Personal information
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Name and contact details (email, phone)
- Company name, role, and project requirements
- Billing and payment details related to invoices and receipts
- Files, credentials, and content you share for project delivery
- Messages you send via forms, email, WhatsApp, or similar channels
- Marketing preferences, if you opt in to updates
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to respond to you, deliver services, operate the Site, or meet legal obligations.
4. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals
- Deliver, support, and invoice projects
- Issue receipts and maintain business records
- Improve our website, services, and communications
- Send service-related messages and, where allowed, marketing updates
- Protect security, prevent abuse, and comply with law
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Legal bases and legitimate reasons
We process personal information when we have a legitimate reason to do so — for example to perform a contract, take steps at your request before a contract, run our business operations, obtain consent where required, or comply with legal duties.
6. Sharing of information
We may share information with trusted processors who help us operate (for example hosting, email, analytics, payment, or productivity tools), only as needed to provide services. Those providers should handle data under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security. If the business is involved in a merger or transfer of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to this Policy’s protections.
7. Security
When we collect and store personal information, we use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to help prevent loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you receive account access for a project, you are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and using strong access practices.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — for example while a project is active, for a reasonable period afterward for support and records, or longer when required for legal, accounting, or dispute purposes. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize information where practicable.
9. International transfers
We are based in Ethiopia and may use tools or processors in other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps appropriate to the context to protect it.
10. Children’s privacy
Our Site and services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies for essential operation, preferences, analytics, or performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.
12. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or ask us to limit certain processing. You may also opt out of non-essential marketing emails.
To make a request, email hello@buildupaddis.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
13. Third-party links
Our Site may link to external websites, social platforms, or tools. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
